The Packwood family decided to do a Parachute jump, as you do!

Thats Mum, me, Luisa, Sarah, Alan and Lily. Alice, Amy and grandad gave it a miss (on this occasion). We did it for breast cancer research and raised loads of money. That was the easy bit. Jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet was slightly more nerve wracking, but as everyone says, as soon as you hit the deck - softly in everyone's case apart from mum, who managed to land on top of the bloke she was attached too, (she did that on purpose) - you want to do it again. We haven't yet!

Tiny plane, spectacular view of Northamptonshire and a lot of screaming, swooping, the odd tear and silly hats. Mum has the video of herself and looks like a pro!

Ray Cowles Motorcycles Pontypool

I've lived in South Wales for the best part of 25 years, and for the first few years lived near Pontypool. I used to drive past this shop every day on my way to work in Cardiff. I didn't have a bike license at the time, so it didn't much interest me - but it always struck me as looking as though it was lost in time. Roll on a quarter of a century and even though I don't live near it now, whenever I pass through Pontypool I've found myself taking the side road to see if its still there. The Car and Bike list.

Like lists? This is, I think, every car and bike I have ever bought or had given to me by a company. My own pictures are few and far between unfortunately, but I've added them where I can and pinched the rest from the internet. There are some cars where I can't bring myself to find or even pinch a picture, like the Vauxhall Cavalier for example which was rusty from day 1 and the brand new Sierra Sapphire which hadn't been pdi'd and wouldn't do over 50mph. Just for a bit of context I'm 61 now, so the list starts around about 1979/80 when I passed my test in a Fiesta Mk1 after 3 lessons - which if memory serves cost £3 each and which were given to me as a present for my 18th birthday.
