Haven't been up a lighthouse for a while - in fact the last time I went up one, I abseiled back down the outside! Not today though, we're just visiting the very pretty Nash Point, near Llantwit Major in The Vale of Glamorgan. As well as the two lighthouses, there's also an incredible foghorn - which can still be heard on occasion. Never seen one of those before....Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

For no other reason than me loving the BBC's Hinterland, we headed to Aberystywth to see if its as grim as it looks on TV. Unfortunately it does look a bit down at heel, but is at least surrounded by stunning scenery. So, here's a selection of Hinterland background scenes, including Borth, the town that time forgot.
