E Type experience

This is a picture taken in about 1998 of me driving an E type Jaguar at Silverstone in Northamptonshire. A brilliant day out. The man in the passenger seat was the instructor and after a few laps with him driving showing you the ropes, you were just allowed to get on with it! Fantastic experience. There were three E Types and we were all out at the same time, dicing with Lotus Elise's and single seaters. The Jaguars sounded brilliant and didn't feel 30 years old. You ended the day with a written assessment from the instructor. He mentioned 'red mist' in mine!

Red Arrows

We saw the Red Arrows a couple of years back at the Southport Airshow. If you haven't been its usually held towards the end of the year, September I think, and is well worth a visit. There's tons to see and apart from the Red Arrow  here the hi light was probably a  Typhoon Eurofighter, which is just astonishing, the noise and the skill of the pilot. Its just one of those moments where you just stand there jaw agape going woooowwww. Saw the Eurofighter at Silverstone in 2010 and it had the same impact on the  crowd there too. Everyone just stops and stares. Anyway, didn't get any pics of that, so here are the ones of the Red Arrows. Not particularly good, its a bit difficult keeping up! I hadn't seen them since I was a kid, and if you haven't either, get along, they really are still amazing
